Mercedes-Benz introduces a subscription plan for electric vehicles
To use the engine at full capacity, the owner will have to pay an additional $60 per month. Without a subscription, only 80% will be available. The "Acceleration Increase" function is a software upgrade that will increase the engine power by 20-25%.
Such subscriptions are not new to the market: for example, Tesla sells the option to unlock full battery capacity for some Model S from the early series for $3,250. Earlier, BMW offered paid heated seats in the autumn-winter period, and Tesla made a similar option for the steering wheel.
